End the Writer's Strike

RE: "Governor Schwarzenegger - Terminate this Impasse"

With the State of California now facing a 14 billion deficit, it is timefor our Governor to intervene on behalf of the people of California toask, beg, coax, or force both the AMPTP and WGA back to negotiationsnow. Thousands are out of work, not paying state taxes, not buying, notable to make their ordinary financial commitments. Businesses thatsupport the production and post production cycles are being impacted. This includes restaurants, supermarkets, clothing stores, equipment andprop rental stores just to name a few.

One of the responsibilities of our elected officials is to supportcommerce and insure its continuity. We now have a situation when thethird largest industry in this state is severely diminished, idlingthousands of working citizens, and our Governor is mute. Take charge,Mr. Schwarzenegger, get the two parties back to the table and get themtalking. Use your influence with the parties along with the power ofyour elected office, show some leadership for the People of California. Please use this email address http://gov.ca.gov/interact#contact to write theGovernor, and urge him to step up and "Terminiate this Impasse now".
